Music Therapy

What’s Music Therapy?

  • According to the American Music Therapy Association,

“Music Therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. “

  • We specialize in children and adults with autism and other special needs. Music therapy is also suitable for individuals with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. However we are here to serve anyone who wants to enrich their lives through music.

  • Music therapy is totally individualized. What happens in an individual’s music therapy session is based on their goals and strengths.

Most music therapy sessions clients will play, sing, or write music with the assistance of a therapist. An affinity towards music is an asset in music therapy but not a requirement.

  • We want anyone who wants music therapy to be able to receive it. We offer group therapy at a lower rate, and a sliding scale for pricing to do our best to serve as many clients as we can. We are a DDD vendor and are willing to work with you however we can to make music therapy possible.
